Years Until Retirement

The number of years you plan to continue working and contributing to your 401(k).

401(k) Contribution (% of Gross Income)

For example, if you earn $100,000 and contribute 6%, you'll contribute $6,000 annually.

Current 401(k) Balance

The total amount currently invested in your 401(k), including previous contributions, employer matching contributions, and investment earnings.

Annual Rate of Return (%)

The average annual investment return you expect your 401(k) to earn.

The calculator assumes a constant annual return. Actual investment performance will vary.

Company Match (%)

The percentage of your eligible contributions your employer matches.

For example, if your employer matches 50% of your contributions and you contribute $6,000 annually, your employer contributes $3,000, subject to the plan's matching limit.

Maximum Company Match (%)

The maximum percentage of your salary your employer will contribute as matching funds.

For example, if your salary is $100,000, your company matches 50% of your contributions, and its maximum matching contribution is 3% of salary, your employer can contribute up to $3,000 annually.

To receive the full $3,000 match, you would need to contribute at least 6% of your salary.

Calculator results are estimates based on your assumptions. Actual results will depend on investment performance, your employer's matching rules, contribution limits, and other factors.
